Kirsten Dunst, who played the original “Spider-Man” heroine Mary Jane, revealed that she really wants to return to her iconic Mary Jane Watson.
In an interview with “Entertainment Weekly”, the 39-year-old Cannes Best Actress winner stated that she would be very happy to star in a new Spider-Man movie.
“I hope they can put me in another one, for example, an old girl version of Mary Jane-why not? I’m happy to make another new superhero movie, no one doesn’t want it.”
Kirsten Dunst originally played Mary Jane in the 2002 version of Spider-Man.
It is said that it was Toby Maguire who noticed her on the GAP billboard on Sunset Boulevard and suggested that she star in Mary Jane Watson.

At the time she was filming another play in Berlin, and the producer flew to Germany to give her an audition.
Excluding “Spider-Man”, Kirsten Dunst won the best actress at the 64th Cannes International Film Festival in 2011 for his thriller fantasy film “Melancholia”.
Since then, she has been active in movies and TV.
As there have been rumors that “Spider-Man: No Way Home” will have “three Spider-Man in the same shot”, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s “Spider-Man” have once again been pushed to the forefront.
Although they and Marvel kept silent on the matter, the media obviously will not let go of the opportunity to ask every actor in the old version of the movie.
There are rumors that she will appear in the upcoming “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, but there has not been any news, official trailers or posters to confirm.
When asked about “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, Kirsten Dunst said: “It seems that I do have a lot of movies that need to be remakes. This is a subject that has been moving forward for me.”
“Spider-Man: No Way Home” will be released in North America on December 17, 2021.
