Stop motion animation studio LAIKA announced a new project: the sixth feature animated film “Wildwood”.
“Wild Wood” is directed by the company’s president and CEO Travis Knight (“Kubo and the Two Strings” and “Bumblebee”). The film also exposes promotional images.
The film is adapted from the children’s fantasy novel of the same name by Colin Meloy, the lead singer and songwriter of the American music group December Party.
“Wildwood” tells the story of the girl Prue’s brother Mac was kidnapped by a group of crows and taken into the deep forest. She and her hapless classmate Curtis went to bring him back.
Stepping into a mysterious place where no one has ever set foot, Prue finds himself at the center of a fairy tale.
Encountered strange talking animals, gangsters and powerful characters with dark intentions.
