Lucy Liu will star in a new drama adaptation of Stephen King’s novel, Later.
The limited series is produced by Blumhouse Television with Raelle Tucker as executive producer.
The novel “Later” was published in March last year. It tells the story of Tia, the owner of a literary agency, raising her son Jamie alone, and Tia’s star writer client suddenly died on the eve of the completion of a big new book. Her career is also in crisis.
At this point a special opportunity presented itself – Jamie had the peculiar ability to speak to the dead, and all the dead would tell him the truth.
So Jamie called the dead writer and fed back what she was going to write to her mother, and Tia wrote it and published it in the name of the writer.
This operation was successful, but this ability can be used for more evil things…
At this point, Tia’s girlfriend, a policeman, discovers Jamie’s superpowers.
And soon, the boy fell into his own spiritual world, just like Danny Torrance in “The Shining”.
