A cast member of the NBC series ‘Law & Order: Organized Crime’ was shot and killed on the set of the series.
The victim, whose exact identity has not been released, is said to be a 31-year-old man, a crew member in charge of parking for the show, and the incident occurred at 5:15 a.m. today (July 19) on the New York location set where the show is filming its third season. The victim, who was sitting in a car, was shot and taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6 a.m.
No arrests have been made in response to the incident.
NBC released a statement calling the incident a criminal activity, saying police are investigating, offering condolences to the victim’s family and friends, and hoping the public will respect his privacy.
