Léa Seydoux will star in “L’Événement” director Audrey Diwan’s first English-language film “Emmanuelle”.
Inspired by Arsan’s novel series of the same name, the story follows a young woman’s sexual experience: from her husband’s arms, to intimate encounters with the wives of her husband’s business partners, to further explorations into the philosophical and aesthetic aspects of sex is depicted and implemented to the extreme.
“Emmanuelle”, written by Diwan and Rebecca Zlotowski (“Grand Central”), will be sold at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.
