‘Leave the World Behind’: Ethan Hawke and Myha’la Herrold join Netflix thriller film

Ethan Hawke and Myha’la Herrold (“Industry”) join the Netflix thriller “Leave the World Behind,” already set to star Julia Roberts and Mahershala Ali.

Hawke and Roberts play husband and wife, and Ali and Herrold play father and daughter.

Directed & written by Sam Esmail, “Leave the World Behind” is based on the novel of the same name by Rumaan Alam.

“Leave the World Behind,” reflects on the complexities of parenthood, race, and class, exploring how our closest bonds are being reshaped and how unexpected new ones can be formed in times of crisis.

The film tells the story of a couple who go to a remote corner of Long Island, New York, to enjoy a clean holiday with their children.

The landlord and couple of their short-term rental property also came back suddenly, saying it was an unprecedented blackout in the city.

Now, in the suburbs, their Internet, TV, radio, and telephone lines are also cut off, and their connections with the outside world are cut off.

And there are strange sound vibrations in the local area, and animals are also on mysterious migrations.

The status quo of isolation and all kinds of strange things have caused the physical health and mentality of the two families to begin to collapse.

The renters were high-class white families, and the landlords were high-class black families.

Racial differences and differences on both sides gradually took over, causing them to ignore that more dangerous things were happening.
