‘Girl’ director Lukas Dhont’s new film, this year’s Cannes acclaimed film ‘Close’ released the U.S. trailer, a beautiful and heartbreaking picture of two boys’ emotions, differences, tears and drifting apart.
‘Close’ tells the story of 13-year-old Leo and Remi, who have had a long and strong friendship, and were once considered a pair by their classmates, creating suspicion.
One day, their friendship is suddenly disrupted and Leo, unable to understand what is going on, goes to Remi’s mother Sophie for help.
The film stars Eden Dambrine and Gustav De Waele and took the Grand Jury Prize at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. Northern America is distributed by A24 and has not yet been scheduled.
