Today, Chris Hemsworth tweeted a photo of the slate, announcing that the prequel spin-off film “Mad Max: Fury Road” has officially started filming.
Earlier, in an interview at the Cannes Film Festival, the director revealed that the film has begun some pre-shooting work in Australia.
“Mad Max: Furiosa” stars Jodie Comer, Richard Madden, and Anya Taylor-Joy, with Anya Taylor-Joy playing a younger version of Furiosa, who is played by “Mad Max: Fury Road” Charlize Theron stars, and “Chris Hemsworth” could play the villain.
Directed and written by George Miller, the film spans 15 years and will be released in Northern America on May 24, 2024.
