Ethan Coen’s first solo-directed, untitled new film is set to star Margaret Qualley and Geraldine Viswanathan (‘Bad Education”Miracle Workers’).
It’s a lesbian road movie that Coen wrote and produced with his wife, Tricia Cooke, and is produced by Focus Features and Working Title.
The Coen couple wrote the first version of the script over a decade ago, called “Drive-Away Dykes”, a Russ Meyer (‘Beyond the Valley of the Dolls’ ‘Vixen ‘) style action
The story follows a party girl and her conservative friend as they embark on a journey from Philadelphia to Miami, where in addition to bar hopping, they will encounter heads in hat boxes, mean ex-girlfriends, mysterious suitcases and evil senators.
