We previously reported that “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” officially wrapped in March, and Martin Freeman, who plays Everett K. Ross, spoke in a recent interview about the state of the crew following the death of Chadwick Boseman.
It was not easy to get back on set without Boseman, he said. But Wakanda still has a lot of story to tell, and it makes sense that some of the characters need to continue in the sequel.
“It’s a weird feeling,” Freeman said. “On the one hand, you’re making the movie you’re going to make, and there are dozens of people on set, all working on the movie. But you can feel the core of it is missing.”
He said he liked the role of Everett K. Ross very much, and the director is also putting in the sweat and hard work for the film, but the lack of Boseman always feels weird.
“I think everyone feels this weird and sad. But it’s happened and we’ve got to get out of there and life has to go on,” Freeman said.
“But there are other stories to tell in that (‘Black Panther’) world, and there are other great characters. I think, and I hope we’ve done a good job, I put a lot of trust in Ryan Coogler (director). “
It is reported that due to Boseman’s death, Marvel was forced to ask the writers to adjust the script and focus more on other characters in the “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” plot, and the audience will see more scenes about Black Panther’s sister Princess Shuri.
“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is currently in post-production, with an undetermined release date.
