“The Batman”, which will be released in March next year, recently appeared on the cover of “Empire” magazine, and also released new stills of Bruce Wayne played by Robert Pattinson and Catwoman played by Zoë Kravitz.
In an interview, director Matt Reeves stated that his Bruce Wayne was influenced by Nirvana’s late lead singer Kurt Cobain.
“At the time, I was listening to music while writing the script. When I wrote the first act, it happened to be Nirvana’s’Something In The Way’ (Hmm…). This song gave me inspiration for writing a different Batman, different from The Christian Bale and Ben Affleck edition, my edition was influenced by grunge rock music in the 1990s.”

In Matt Reeves’s opinion, he didn’t want to portray Bruce Wayne as a playboy. Wayne just experienced a huge tragedy and became a hermit.
“So I connected him with Gus Van Sant’s “Last Days” (the film tells the story of Kurt Cobain’s rock singer Blake living in seclusion in a decaying house)”
Matt Reeves said that he saw Robert Pattinson’s different performance in the movie “Good Time”, “In this movie you can see his fragility and despair, and you can also feel his power.
He has the temperament of Kurt Cobain and looks like a rock star, but you will also think he may be a hermit. “
