According to foreign media reports, Michael B. Jordan and his production company Outlier Society are developing a new “Superman” project for HBO Max.
This project has nothing to do with the restart version of the “Superman” movie currently being developed by Warner.
The protagonist of the new project is the black superman “Val-Zod” from “Earth 2” in the comics.
It is not yet clear whether it will be a movie or a limited series. Jordan will be the producer of this project, but it’s not certain whether he will play the leading role.
Earlier reports indicated that J. J. Abrams’ company bad robot is making a restart version of the “Superman” movie, in which Kal-El/Clark Kent will be starred by black actors.
(The difference is that Val-Zod itself is a black character, while Clark Kent is a white character played by a black actor.)
There are many rumors that Jordan will play this version of Clark Kent, but Jordan himself denies this rumor.

Jordan also said in previous interviews that he has no interest in the “racial transition” version of Clark Kent.
But he is full of interest in Val-Zod, who is a black superman.
At the same time, Jordan will also collaborate with Warner on the new version of “Static Shock”, and he will be the producer of the film.
