Mixed martial artist Conor McGregor makes his acting debut in the reboot of the action thriller ‘Road House’, playing an original character who is not himself.
The film, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and directed by Doug Liman, is being produced by Amazon and will be available for streaming.
Gyllenhaal plays a former UFC fighter who works as a bouncer at a cluttered hotel in the Florida Keys, but soon discovers that not everything is what it seems in this tropical paradise.
The cast also includes Billy Magnussen, Daniela Melchior, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Lukas Gage and others, with Anthony Bagarozzi (‘The Nice Guys’) and Nick Cassavetes writing the screenplay, which begins shooting later this month in the Dominican Republic.
