‘Mothers’ Instinct’ is based on the novel by Barbara Abel, written by Sarah Conradt-Kroehler and directed by Olivier Masset-Depasse.
The film stars Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain as a pair of close neighbors, but as a tragedy occurs, the best friends begin to become bitter enemies amidst guilt, suspicion and paranoia.
