The film version of Stephen King’s vampire horror novel ‘Salem’s Lot’ has been delayed, with the Northern America theatrical schedule extended from September 9 this year to April 21, 2023.
The reason is that the New Crown epidemic affected the post-production schedule of ‘Salem’s Lot’, and it was just reshoot a month and a half ago.
‘Salem’s Lot’ is directed by Gary Dauberman (‘It’ ‘Annabelle’ writer, ‘Annabelle Comes Home’ director), with James Wan and others as producers. Dauberman also wrote the screenplay.
The novel is about a writer who returns to his home town and wants to write about an abandoned house in his work.
But he discovers that the house has been bought by a mysterious European man and that the people of the town are slowly turning into vampires. Will a small group of writers be able to save the town from this “man”?
‘Salem’s Lot’ was first made into a movie and has been released as a miniseries version in 1979, with sequels since then.
