Netflix’s version of ‘The three body problem’ episode announced the addition of several actors: Jonathan Pryce (‘Game of Thrones’), Rosalind Chao, Ben Schnetzer, and Eve Ridley.
The series has previously announced the cast of Benedict Wong, Tsai Chin, John Bradley, Liam Cunningham, Eiza González, Jovan Adepo, Jess Hong, Marlo Kelly, Alex Sharp, Sea Shimooka, Zine Tseng, Saamer Usmani, etc., have also been exposed to start shooting.
Based on the acclaimed science fiction novel by Cixin Liu, the series is created by ‘Game of Thrones’ creator David Benioff & D.B. Weiss in collaboration with ‘The Terror’ season 2 operator Alexander Woo, with Cixin Liu and English translator Ken Liu as consulting producers. Derek Tsang (‘Better Days’) will direct several episodes, including the first, and set the tone for the series.
The novel tells the story of what happens when humanity discovers that we are not alone in the universe and prepares to deal with alien forces from a distant and inhospitable world.
The term “Three body” refers to an alien star system consisting of three stars orbiting each other, with an Earth-like planet between them constantly subjected to extreme heat and cold temperatures that repeatedly destroy its intelligent civilization.
