Another development has been revealed for the film of the same name, adapted from the popular game “Ghost of Tsushima”. It is understood that in the film director Chad Stahelski’s plan, this will be a film with an all-Japanese cast and Japanese dialogue.
This arrangement may make the film lose part of the Northern America market, but in order to restore the original story of the game, Sony and Chad Stahelski is also considered to rack their brains.
The original ‘Ghost of Tsushima’ is Sony’s mega-game that takes place in 1274, when Japanese samurai were powerful guardians of Japan, and the Mongols invaded Japan in a big way through Tsushima Island at that time.
Players play as the main character Jin Sakai, a samurai of the Kamakura Shogunate, who has to do everything he can to defend his homeland from the Mongol Empire.
However, when the Mongols easily crushed the warriors, his world was shattered.
He is faced with the most difficult decision of his life: follow the spirit and traditions of the samurai he has been raised with and persevere in this hopeless battle, or abandon the ways of the samurai and do whatever it takes to protect the island and his countrymen.
At present, the film does not have a shooting and release schedule, everything is in the preparation stage.
However, from the cast’s move to get the game developers together to study the script, the film’s story will probably be faithful to the game itself.
