A few days ago, according to media reports, director Robert Eggers’ new version of “Nosferatu” has entered the pre-production stage.
The film is confirmed to be filmed in the Czech Republic in 2022, and actress Anya Taylor-Joy is expected to star.
Released in 1922, the German film “Nosferatu” was the first horror film in film history to feature vampires.
The ancient castle and the vampire count who can sow the plague are impressive, and the character settings such as nocturnal and photophobia have also left a deep imprint on the image of vampires on the screen later.
The new version of “Nosferatu” will also be the third collaboration between Anya Taylor-Joy and Robert Eggers, whose other work “The Northman” will be released in North America on April 22.
