Noah Baumbach’s (‘Marriage Story’ ‘Frances Ha’) new Netflix film ‘White Noise’ will be the opening film of this year’s Venice International Film Festival. The first stills were also revealed.
This year’s Venice International Film Festival will be held from August 31 to September 10.

Based on the novel of the same name written by Don DeLillo, the film will be an industrialized, collection of school satire, quirky marriage comedy, and horror stories.
‘White Noise’ follows Jack, a professor at a liberal arts college in central America who became famous for his Hitler studies course, as he and his fourth wife, Babette, and their children try to navigate the common difficulties of family life.
When a “toxic air incident” disrupts their lives, they are forced to face the threat of death and a difficult test together.
A catastrophic train accident leaks chemical waste all over his town, which is shrouded in a deadly black chemical cloud.
