Producer Noah Hawley of the American TV series “Aliens” revealed the progress of the preparations in an interview with the media, saying that the story of the series will mainly take place on the earth. “Aliens” not only has alien forms but also thinks about artificial intelligence.
According to plan, this series will be launched this spring.
“The story is set on the future earth. In the movie, Weiland Corporation dominates the bio-human/artificial intelligence technology. If there is another company in the drama that is also developing technologies that allow humans to live forever, such as mechanical enhancement and consciousness extraction. The competition between the two is just like the battle between Edison and Tesla in DC and AC power. Who can win the future?”
Noah Hawley pointed out that the reason why the “Aliens” series is so popular with audiences is not just the scary monsters, but also the theme that artificial intelligence may kill humans.
“Ripley, played by Sigourney Weaver, once said in “Alien 2″,’I don’t know which creatures are more terrifying, at least they (alien) will not kill each other’. 60% of the drama is still horror movies, and the rest 40% is thinking about human survival.”
Earlier, Noah Hawley also emphasized that there will be no Ripley played by Sigourney Weaver in American TV series. The story is not limited to taking place in confined spaces such as prisons and spaceships.
FX announced the project at the end of 2020, and the 1979 version of director Ridley Scott will also serve as producer.
