Rating: 7 out of 10 Good
‘Orphan: First Kill’ is a prequel about Esther that benefits from some masterful storytelling swings that make it bring such a unique feel.
‘Orphan: First Kill’ breaks the stereotype of the prequel concept and embodies it with its unique characteristics.
Isabelle Fuhrman returns to the role of Esther, who gives insight into her bloodthirsty beginnings.
The 25-year-old actress had to play the role of the 8-year-old again, while the director used lighting, doubles and specific camera angles to make Esther look childish.
Director William Brent Bell also did a good job of piecing together the prequel story, and he also had his own unique rhythm to the narrative, making ‘Orphan: First Kill’ different from other prequel movies, which is exactly why this movie won fans’ hearts.
