In August last year, Paul Thomas Anderson’s new film was set up for shooting. The title of the film at the time was “Soggy Bottom” (Licorice Pizza).
A year later, the film was finalized, the first trailer was waiting to be announced, and the official title of the film was released.
In the end, the film was named “Licorice Pizza”.
The name “Licorice Pizza” is derived from the chain stores that were all the rage in Southern California in the 1970s.
Little is known about the specific information about “Licorice Pizza”.
But this is not the first time Anderson has given a code name to the film he is shooting.
The previous “Phantom Thread” and “The Master” were just the filming code names.
It is understood that Paul Thomas Anderson’s film will be set in the 1970s. The story revolves around a high school student who is also a successful child star.

According to sources, “Licorice Pizza” may cross multiple story lines.
Anderson is a very important film director in the United States today. He started as an independent film and became famous with his self-written and directed self-made “Boogie Nights”.
At the age of 30, he won the Berlin Film Festival Golden Bear Award for “Magnolia”. Later, he won the Best Director Award in Cannes, Berlin and Venice with “Punch-DrunkLove”, “There Will Be Blood” and “The Master” respectively.
Paul Thomas Anderson became the first director in film history to win a grand slam from three major international film festivals in Europe.
Currently, “Licorice Pizza” is tentatively scheduled to be released on a small scale on November 26.
On December 25th “Licorice Pizza” will be launched on a large scale in theaters.
