The drama version of “Brideshead Revisited” has the latest news, but it will disappoint fans.
Recently, Luca Guadagnino, director of “Call Me by Your Name” and “Suspiria”, revealed in an exclusive interview with the magazine that the show has been officially shelved.
Regarding the new version of “Brideshead Revisited”, it was previously reported that it will be jointly launched by BBC and HBO, and the show has invited many well-known actors, which can be called a dream lineup.
Starring includes Andrew Garfield, Joe Alwyn, Rooney Mara, Ralph Fiennes, Cate Blanchett and more.
“Brideshead Revisited” is a novel by British author Evelyn Waugh, which has been adapted into TV series and movies.
The 1981 miniseries starred Jeremy Irons, Anthony Andrews, Diana Quick, Laurence Olivier, and the 2008 film version starred Matthew Goode, Ben Whishaw, Hayley Atwell, Emma Thompson, and more.
The story unfolds from the perspective of the protagonist Charles, describing the life and fate of a family at Brideshead Manor, a suburb of London.
