The official trailer for the psychological thriller ‘The Patient’ starring Steve Carell and Domhnall Gleeson has been released, it will start airing on Hulu on August 30.
Joel Fields& Joseph Weisberg (‘The Americans’) created, Chris Long (‘Criminal Minds’ ‘The Mentalist’) directed the first two episodes and executive produced with Carell and others.
The episode focuses on the relationship between critically acclaimed psychotherapist Alexander (Carell) and his new patient Sam (Gleeson), who takes Alexander hostage when he reveals that he is actually a serial killer and demands that Alexander cure him of his murderous tendencies.
As Alexander reluctantly begins therapy, those experiences also reveal their own past evil thoughts and traumas, blurring the lines between patient and therapist.
