At last week’s Academy Awards, “CODA” won three Oscars: Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor and Best Adapted Screenplay.
According to Variety, this led to a 300% increase in viewership of “CODA” on Apple TV+ from the previous week, bringing it 25% of new viewers.
Apple beat Netflix’s “The Power of the Dog” at the awards ceremony.
“CODA” became the first streamed film to win the Oscar for Best Picture, and the first film to feature a deaf actor in this honor.
