Searchlight Pictures’ new film, Aziz Ansari’s directorial debut “Being Mortal” has been suspended, and many media broke the news that it was because the starring Bill Murray was accused of inappropriate behavior.
The producer Searchlight Pictures therefore called off the production of the film on Monday, local time in the United States, for negotiations.
In the end, Searchlight Pictures decided to suspend filming and investigate the complaint, which was notified to the crew within this week.
The investigation is ongoing and no conclusions have been reached, so it’s unclear what the future holds for Bill Murray in the project.
Deadline’s source also stated that the complaint does not involve Aziz Ansari, who is the director, star, and screenwriter of the film, and Seth Rogen, the other star of the film.
