In April this year, Universal’s Peacock platform announced that it would develop a prequel series to the comedy film ‘Ted’, with Seth MacFarlane, the voice of Ted in the film version, returning as a voice and co-producer.
Recently MacFarlane said in a media interview that not only does the episode maintain continuity with the movie in terms of plot, the tone of the R-rated comedy will not change, and try to make fans happy.
Earlier episodes have been selected to star: Max Burkholder, Scott Grimes, Giorgia Whigham to join.
The prequel episode is set in 1993, when the movie version of the protagonist John was a 16-year-old with his toy Ted with him and his family, and the show, which has 10 episodes, will be available on streaming Peacock.
MacFarlane said, CGI production of animal and human interaction film is very common, the drama series but less filmed, which is quite a challenge for creators.
To give back to the fans, the tone and story line of the episodes and the movie will remain the same. Even if it is made into a streaming episode, a lot of the profanity will be retained, the same as in the R-rated comedy movie.
For this MacFarlane also thanked the Peacock platform for their tolerance.
