The FX biopic “Pistol” by the legendary British punk rock band Sex Pistols, “The King Stole Our Freedom”, is young, angry, ruined, a cultural frenzy.
Danny Boyle (“Slumdog Millionaire””Trainspotting”) will direct all six episodes, based on the band’s guitarist Steve Jones’ memoir “Lonely Boy: Tales from a Sex Pistol,” which will hit Hulu on May 31.
Toby Wallace as Jones, Louis Partridge as Sid Vicious, Anson Boon as John Lydon, newcomer Jacob Slater as Paul Cook, Fabien Frankel as Glen Matlock and Maisie Williams as “Jordan” Pamela Rooke.
Craig Pearce (“Moulin Rouge”) creates and writes with Frank Cottrell Boyce (“24 Hour Party People”), with Jones himself serving as executive producer.
