Simu Liu joins the sci-fi thriller “Hello Stranger,” which stars Sam Worthington, Jordana Brewster, Robbie Amell, and Alicia Sanz.
“Hello Stranger” tells the story of a woman, Faye, who tries to replace her husband Evan with a simulated robot after he dies.
While the robot resembles human Evan in every way, Faye doesn’t feel the same love.
Robot Evan tries to win back Faye’s heart while he is being hunted by a government agent. Because these robots gradually become self-aware, they may pose a potential threat to humans.
“Hello Stranger” is directed by April Mullen (“Below Her Mouth” “Imposters”) and written by Ryan Christopher Churchill.
The film is currently shooting in Toronto.
