While most movies in Hollywood are pushing back their schedules, there are exceptions. A few days ago, Sony’s new film “Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile” announced a new schedule.
“Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile” has moved up to October 7 from its original November 18 Northern America release.
Based on the children’s book of the same name by Bernard Waber, this film focuses on Lyle, a reptile who lives on East 88th Street in New York. It likes to help the Primm family with daily chores and play with the neighbor’s children. He is the happiest crocodile in all the family— — Until a neighbor insisted that Lyle should be sent to the zoo.
Mr. Grumps and his cat Loretta don’t like crocodiles, and Lyle has done everything to win their hearts, but it seems to have failed. Lyle will use all his charm and courage to reveal that it’s not as bad as they first thought.
Behind the scenes, director duo Will Speck and Josh Gordon (“Office Christmas Party” “Blades of Glory”) will direct the film, and “Johnny English” and “Puss in Boots” screenwriter William Davies will write the screenplay.
“La La Land” and “The Greatest Showman” award-winning musicians Benj Pasek and Justin Paul will write original songs for the film.
