In October of this year, William Shatner, actor of the “Star Trek” series Admiral Kirk, will ride on the Blue Origin rocket to explore real space.
William Shatner played the role of James T. Kirk in the classic American science fiction drama “Star Trek: The Original Series” from 1966 to 1969 and seven derivative films.
For many movie fans, Shatner’s follow-up to the starship Captain Kirk almost equated.
This flight was 55 years and 1 month after William Shatner first appeared as Captain Kirk.
Shatner is now 90 years old, and this trip will make him the oldest person in space ever.
This will break the record set by astronaut Wally Funk in July this year.
At the age of 82, she took the first space voyage on the Blue Origin “New Shepard” rocket.
Shatner may not be able to return to the “Star Trek” series, but he will truly go to space.
Allegedly, Shatner’s space journey will be recorded in an upcoming documentary.
