“Maestro” is also directed, produced by Bradley Cooper, and co-written with Josh Singer (“First Man” “Washington Post”), with Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese, Todd Phillips and others participating in the production, and is expected to be released in 2023.

Jeremy Strong (“Succession”) plays critic Lockwood John Lockwood Gruen, and Matt Bomer (“White Collar”) plays one of Bernstein’s lovers, a clarinet player.
Bernstein made his debut with the New York Philharmonic at the age of 25, becoming the first American to conduct a major American symphony.

In 1954 he composed “On The Waterfront” which was nominated for an Oscar, and in 1957 he composed for “West Side Story”. His career took off. “West Side Story” quickly became popular on Broadway. 9 other awards.
“Maestro” will cover 30 years of Bernstein’s life, as well as his marriage and complex love story with Montealegre.
