When Lynell Mize lines up to register the man who abused her as a child, she is shocked to learn that a stranger has registered to kill her, and why would someone who didn’t know her waste his one and only legal right to murder on her?
In order to survive the next two weeks, she must find out who wants to kill her and why. Easier said than done, however, as Lynell soon discovers that a number of strangers have registered her name.
In the process, she reunites with her estranged husband, who is committed to unearthing the past she wants to bury.
