According to Japanese media reports, the 75-year-old Japanese director Takeshi Kitano won the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Far East Film Festival in Udine, Italy on the 29th (local time).
He originally planned to go to the scene, but temporarily gave up attending.
He said that the current new crown epidemic is raging, the situation in Ukraine is tense, and more importantly, his physical strength “cannot bear the long journey to Italy”, so he abandoned this plan.
