Lionsgate’s new ‘Saw’ movie ‘Jigsaw’ has been announced for release in Northern America on October 27 next year, the tenth installment in the series.
Kevin Greutert, who directed the sixth and seventh films and served as editor on the first five, is directing an undisclosed plot that will tell a new twisted, elaborate story exploring a new mystery that “captures the hearts and other body parts of fans.
‘Saw’, the first film released in 2004 and directed by James Wan, follows a psychopathic killer nicknamed ‘Jigsaw Killer’ who tests his victims’ willingness to survive by putting them through a deadly ‘game’.
The ninth installment of ‘Saw’ was released last year, starring Chris Rock, Samuel L. Jackson and Max Minghella, and collected $40.6 million at the global box office during the epidemic, with the series accumulating more than $1 billion worldwide.
