AndrAndrew Lloyd Webber, the original author of the “Cats” musical, talked about the 2019 movie version of “Cats” in an interview with Variety Show recently.
He said he bought a dog after he was injured in the movie (please comfort?), and even the airlines recognized that he was injured and could take the dog on the plane.
Weber said: “The “Cats” movie is so wrong that they didn’t understand why the music can move people. I watched the film and thought:’Oh, God, no.’ It was the first time in my life in more than 70 years. I went out and bought a dog, so the good thing this brought me was a Havanese.”
This puppy has been with Weber during the COVID-19 quarantine, and he cannot be separated from him.
So when he flew to New York, he wrote to the airline asking for a dog.
“I wrote: I need this dog’s continuous company, because my feelings have been hurt, and I must have this treatment dog. The airline wrote back and said: Can you prove that you really need it? I replied: Yes, You just need to see how Hollywood treats my musical “Cats.” Then the airline approved it, and the reply was attached: You don’t need to show a medical report.”
