The Hunger Games’ series prequel movie ‘The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’ revealed casting news. Laurel Marsden, who starred in ‘Ms. Marvel’, and Nick Benson, who started as a child actor, will join the cast.
It is reported that Nick Benson will star as the sacrifice of District 12, and Lily Cooper will play a mentor. The new cast members will form a group to fight against the young Snow in the story.
The film is based on the new book of the same name by the original author Suzanne Collins, and is set several years before Coriolanus Snow became the tyrant President of the Benefactor State.
Handsome and charming at 18, Snow sees a chance to change his fate despite the decline of his family: he is chosen to be a mentor for the tenth Hunger Games.
Snow is sent to guide Lucy Gray Baird, a girl from the impoverished 12th district, as the two race against time in a game of survival, ultimately revealing who is the songbird and who is the snake.
‘The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes’ is returning from ‘The Hunger Games’ series director Francis Lawrence to direct and Michael Arndt to write the film, which will be released on November 17, 2023Northern America release.
