“The Batman” composer Michael Giacchino to direct his first film “Werewolf By Night”

According to media reports, Michael Giacchino, who has served as the soundtrack for “The Batman”, “Zootopia” and “Doctor Strange”, will direct Marvel’s untitled Halloween TV special.

It focuses on “Werewolf By Night,” starring Gael García Bernal and Laura Donnelly, which begins filming in Atlanta this month.

Giacchino has collaborated with Marvel on “Spider-Man” series, “Doctor Strange”, “Thor: Love and Thunder”, etc. Other works include “The Batman”, “Coco”, “Zootopia” and “Rise of the Planet of the Apes‎” “Jurassic World” “Star Wars” series, etc.

Werewolf By Night, whose real name is Jack Russell/Jacob Russoff, comes from a cursed family who turns into a werewolf when he encounters a full moon when he comes of age.

He struggled between human and animal nature, and eventually became a messenger of justice against the forces of darkness, joining organizations such as Midnight Sons Howling Commandos.

Werewolves possess superhuman strength, speed, stamina, agility, durability, reflexes and sense of smell, accelerated healing factors, sharp claws and teeth, and an innate fear of objects and weapons made of silver.

Donnelly is expected to play Nina Price, Werewolf By Night’s niece, a werewolf + vampire hybrid who turns into a vampire.
