Paramount did not abandon plans for the “Star Trek” movie.
According to foreign media reports, the next “Star Trek” film has a new director, Matt Shakman, the director of “WandaVision” who has just been nominated for an Emmy Award.
Paramount is said to hope that the film will start shooting next spring.
Earlier, there was an unnamed “Star Trek 4” movie that was scheduled to be released in North America on June 9, 2023, and it should be referring to this project.
