Netflix will release the documentary “Blood Brothers: Malcolm X & Muhammad Ali” on September 9th, about the extraordinary and unfortunate friendship between two legendary figures in African American history.
Muhammad Ali is a great boxer in history,
Malcolm X is one of the leaders of the American black civil rights movement and the Nation of Islam.
They are the most iconic and respected African Americans of the twentieth century.
Apart from the same legendary life and remarkable fame, few people connect them.
However, there is a deep and sincere friendship between the two people, and this history has not been discovered until today.
This documentary is based on the novel “Blood Brothers: The Fatal Friendship Between Muhammad Ali and Malcolm X”.
“Blood Brothers: Malcolm X & Muhammad Ali” is produced by Kenya Barris and includes interviews with Ali’s brother and Malcolm’s daughter, new materials used in historical archives documenting their three-year friendship, and some of them promoting themselves A passionate speech video of Faith.
The original novel uses previously undisclosed sources of information (such as FBI records and Malcolm X’s personal files) to tell a little-known story between the two in an unprecedented way.
Ali converted to Islam under the influence of Malcolm X, and announced the change of his original name “Clay” on the second day of becoming the new boxing champion-which at the time symbolized the pride and independence of black Americans.
However, after Malcolm X broke with the Nation of Islam, the two also severed contact.
Malcolm X was subsequently assassinated in 1965.
“Do you remember any regrets of boxing champion Ali?” When asked about this question in the film, Ali’s brother wiped his eyes with the back of his hand, “That’s a hell of a question”.
“Blood Brothers: Malcolm X & Muhammad Ali” will be aired on Netflix on September 9, and the trailer has been released.
