Deadline reports: Michelle Yeoh, Stanley Tucci, Jason Alexander, Brian Cox and Jenny Slate star in the new Russo Brothers-directed film ‘The Electric State’ in yet unknown roles, with Cox and Slate as the voice of the computer effects role.
‘The Electric State’, starring Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt, has been picked up by Netflix with a budget of over $200 million.
The Russo brothers’ ‘The Gray Man’ ‘The Avengers’ series writing partner Christopher Markus & Stephen McFeely to write the script, plans to start shooting this fall.
The film is based on the popular comic of the same name by Swedish artist and designer Simon Stålenhag (‘Tales from the Loop’), which originally re-imagined the low-tech apocalypse of the American West in the mid-1990s with outstanding visual effects.
The story takes place in an alternate future and follows a teenage girl who discovers that a strange and cute robot that comes looking for her is actually a gift from her missing brother, and she and the robot set out to find him in an imaginative world.
The world consists of people with a variety of robots who discover a vast conspiracy in the process.
