Marvel’s new superhero drama “Moon Knight” is now live on Disney+, and IGN gave it a 7 for its first episode.
Reviewers felt that the first episode of “Moon Knight” left a lot of suspense to answer, but it was worth watching Oscar Isaac’s performance of “The Man Who Struggles to Keep Control of Reality.”
Overall review:
In the first episode of “Moon Knight,” Oscar Isaac’s Steven Grant wanders in a “battlefield” he doesn’t understand, but Isaac’s docile half of “Moon Knight” turns the brutal scene into Joyful play.
Moon Knight is seen as some kind of evil, an intruder who is designed to devour Steven’s presence, so it’ll be interesting to see how the show treats the character when Marc shows up.
Like Charly Baltimore in “The Long Kiss Goodnight”, the real answer lies between Steven and Marc.
It’s a stand-alone story, and whether Moon Knight himself is the ultimate standoff for the series, we don’t know yet. But the show’s two lines energize the trial in a captivating way.
