The sequel to the popular crime drama ‘True Detective’ has been finalized! The show’s fourth season has now received the green light from HBO to start shooting, and the star of the fourth season has been announced, starring ‘The Silence of the Lambs’ star Jodie Foster and boxer and actress Kali Reis.
The latest season will be filmed in Iceland, the series’ single-season subtitle and plot has been revealed, the full title of the fourth season “True Detective: Night Country”.
Set in the long nights of Alaska, the six men who run the Tsalal Arctic research station suddenly disappear, and two detectives, Liz Danvers (Foster) and Evangeline Navarro (Reis), have to face their own dark side while trying to unearth the truth buried beneath the eternal ice.
Issa López will direct the first episode of the fourth season and co-write it with Alan Page Arriaga, both of whom also serve as executive producers along with Foster, Barry Jenkins and others.
