The new horror film “Malignant” directed by James Wan reveals new stills and work photos.
“Malignant” tells that Madison, played by Annabelle Wallis, can see the illusion of a terrifying murder scene, but she gradually realizes that these daydream-like things actually exist.
“Malignant” is the tenth work of James Wan’s directorial career. Annabelle Wallis (“Annabelle” “X-Men: First Class”) and Jake Abel participated in the film.
Ingrid Bisu (“The Nun”) wrote the script together with James Wan, who had just married.
The horror version of “Frozen”?
James Wan said in an interview with IGN that the title of “Malignant” has multiple meanings. On the one hand, it touches inner horror as well as medical horror.
Malignant is an oncology term in medicine, which refers to the ability of tumors or cancer cells to proliferate indefinitely and at the same time have the ability to infiltrate and metastasize.
The heroine Madison and her sisters in “Malignant” wanted to find out why. He even thought this was a horror version of “Frozen”. There are many sisterhoods in the movie, and there are more terrible things.
James Wan said that he doesn’t want people to think of themselves as a repetitive director, only making scary horror movies.
In “Malignant”, he tried many new elements and wanted to change people’s traditional view of him: James Wan would only shoot demons and haunted houses.
“Malignant” will be screened nationwide on September 10 this year.
