The new Japanese drama “The Journalist” created by Netflix has been officially announced for the first time.
“The Journalist” starring Ryoko Yonekura, Gô Ayano, Ryûsei Yokohama, Hidetaka Yoshioka, Shinobu Terajima.
The episode is adapted from the 2019 movie of the same name starring Shim Eun-kyung and まつざか とおり.
The film version director Michihito Fujii will return to directing “The Journalist”, and the drama version will unfold a new story.
“The Journalist” tells the story of the maverick journalist Erika Yoshioka who was investigating the case of his father’s “suicide” and encountered a young bureaucrat who was in a government department and was exhausted to cover up the scandal.
Then the two worked together to expose the truth.
“The Journalist” will go live on Netflix on January 13, 2022.
