Disney’s live-action movie ‘The Little Mermaid’ released its first teaser trailer last weekend on D23, and the teaser trailer debuted with over 104 million global multi-platform views.
This figure is higher than the first teaser trailer of recent Disney live-action movies such as ‘Cruella’ with 68 million viewers, ‘Beauty and the Beast’ with 94 million, ‘Aladdin’ with 74 million, and ‘Maleficent: Mistress’ with 74 million. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’ 62 million, lower than the 175 million of ‘Mulan’ and 224 million of ‘The Lion King’.\
Due to the death of the Queen of England, the ‘The Little Mermaid’ preview statistics do not include the number of views in the UK, Ireland and Australia.
