The live-action version of “Whisper of the Heart” starring Nana Seino and Tôri Matsuzaka has released two new posters and a set of stills showing Tsukishima Shizuku and Amasawa Seiji in middle school and two people who are exotic 10 years later.
“Whisper of the Heart” is directed by Yuichiro Hirakawa and will be released in Japan on October 14.
Originally a manga of the same name by Aoi Hiiragi, Ghibli has been adapted into an animated film about the love of Tsukishima Shizuku, a girl who likes to read, and Amasawa Seiji, who has dreams.
The live-action movie recreates the “that time” (past) of the original and 10 years later (now) when the original was added.
Nana Seino plays Tsukishima Shizuku, a 24-year-old children’s literature editor, Tôri Matsuzaka plays Amasawa Seiji, who is chasing her dreams overseas, and Runa Yasuhara and Tsubasa Nakagawa play the duo in middle school.
