Jon Favreau, the writer and producer of the “Star Wars” spin-off American drama “The Mandalorian”, recently said that although the third season has not yet aired, the fourth season is already in production.
Since its launch in 2019, the popularity of “The Mandalorian” has been very high. Because the evaluation of the first two seasons is very high, everyone has unlimited expectations for the story of the third season. In addition, the screenwriter Jon Favreau and the producer Dave Filoni continues to expand the “The Mandalorian” universe.
At Star Wars Celebration, Jon Favreau said in an interview with Cinema Blend that making a TV series has an advantage over a movie, not having to push Din to write a later story in a specific time window, and at the same time getting a lot of freedom to add multiple chapters.
Jon Favreau: “We’re lucky with TV that we don’t have to rush things in an hour and a half or two. We tell the story slowly. So now, when Dave Filoni is filming Ahsoka, that says Now I’m writing the fourth season of ‘The Mandalorian’. It’s become—how do I say it—more precise.”
