According to Deadline, at a private dinner, producer Barbara Broccoli revealed that the next James Bond movie, which will take at least two more years, will “completely reinvent” the famous secret agent character of James Bond, but casting has not yet begun.
The private dinner was held at the Claridge’s Hotel in central London and was hosted by Tim Richards, President of the British Film Institute.
Barbara Broccoli said in a conversation with Deadline, “We’re looking at what’s next for the character, and that’s the number one concern right now.”
“There’s no script yet, and we can’t open the scripting until we’ve decided where we want to go with the next film, because this time it’s really about reinventing Bond. We’re reinventing him, and it’s going to take time, at least two years of shooting.”
