Saban Films has won the North American distribution rights to the western “The Old Way” starring Nicolas Cage, which is scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of this year.
“The Old Way” is directed by Brett Donowho (“Acts of Violence”), with a screenplay by Carl W. Lucas.
Nicolas Cage as Colton Briggs, a former sharpshooter, now runs a grocery store and lives peacefully with his family.
When a gang of gangsters brutally kills his wife, Briggs pulls out a pistol and teams up with an unexpected person—his 12-year-old daughter—to seek revenge.
The murderer is driven to do evil by his own demons and an unbearable past.
